I purchased this wide-angle adapter shortly after I got my HD1000. I found the HD1000 had a somewhat narrow field of view with the base lens, but this adapter works great. Very useful when shooting indoors or other tight spots where you want to capture a broader frame. It screws right in to the threads on the front of the HD1000 lens (40.5mm), or on top of a filter assuming it's threaded both sides.
Only real downside is that it adds a bit of weight and bulk to the camera. Harder to fit the HD1000 in a pocket with the wide-angle adapter on. + See Full Customer Review |  |
